The Paris Climate Accord, Fit for 55, The Dutch Climate Accord and the implementation agenda of city logistics (uitvoeringsagenda van stadslogistiek). A few years ago, these were unknown terms but now a few of the many initiatives that focus on making the Netherlands and Europe more sustainable. Thanks to these initiatives and the emerging intrinsic motivation of companies and governments, we are looking for ways to achieve the objectives of these initiatives. The opportunities in the field of sustainability are endless, that’s for sure. However, the question remains how these opportunities can be exploited, keeping in mind the feasibility and affordability of these initiatives. In a market of businesses and (semi) governments, Districon is working on designing sustainable transport flows. Thanks to our expertise in sustainable logistics, we can provide advice in all phases of sustainability, both in private and (semi) public sector.
Sustainability starts with mapping the current flows of goods for an individual company as well as for a group of companies in an area. At this point, a detailed description can be drawn about the emissions caused by these flows. This makes it possible to prioritize in an area (business park or region) as well as within a distribution network, which flows should be made sustainable first. As a result, the potential for improvements can be given based on the current situation. Districon advises your company how the identified flow can be made more sustainable. We have both expertise at vehicle level and knowledge about logistics models.
We deal with the following topics, among others:
- Tooling to map logistics flows
- Carbon footprinting, insight and improvement potential of CO2 emissions of companies
- Deploying hubs and other logistics concepts to organize goods flows in a smarter way
- Electrification of trucks and required charging infrastructure on the way to zero-emission
With our credo “Mastering Flow” we work with you to ensure an efficient and sustainable flow, both now and in the future.
